Privacy
Syntholly uses Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site.
That includes aggregate information such as pages viewed, links opened, device category, approximate location, and referral or traffic source.
Analytics is only initialized when a Google Analytics measurement ID is configured. The site also records a small number of behavioural events, such as opening a public social link, opening a project link, reaching the Selected Work or Public Activity sections, and coarse engagement milestones.
Syntholly does not send email addresses, social handles, raw outbound URLs, user-entered text, or private GitHub data into custom analytics events.
Because Google Analytics is a third-party service, Google may receive and process usage information according to its own service terms and privacy practices.
Consent requirements depend on where visitors are located and how the site is used. This implementation keeps analytics isolated so consent gating can be added cleanly, but it does not by itself make a legal determination about when consent is required.
